Display your art at Cleveland Square Park during this WinterFest season!

Follow the prompt. Create an artwork. Enter the competition. If you win, your work will be on display at the MACC’s mega-screen on Cleveland Square Park!

How to Enter

Follow the following steps to create and submit your art.

Winners will be notified through email and phone call on the weekend of 12/13. Award celebration date will be determined.

Step 1

Download the template of the dimensions of our outdoor screen.

Step 2

Follow the prompt “Holiday Foods” as your inspiration. Create a drawing, painting, digital illustration, or animation. Make it as fun or interesting as you like, but please keep it appropriate and family friendly to share with all. (Hateful or violent rhetoric will not be tolerated.)

Step 3

If you are creating the traditional way using paper and utensils, please scan or photograph your design and make sure it fits within our template or the required dimensions (1584 x 468 px). Please submit your artwork as a JPEG, PNG, or PDF file no larger than 250 MB.

If creating a digital artwork, please follow the required dimensions and file size as well.

If creating an animation, please ensure the dimensions are 1584 x 468 pixels, duration of the animation is up to 10 seconds max, and does NOT include sound. To be able to submit, your animation must be less than 250 MB in size.

Ensure to follow the listed requisites for your art.

Step 4

Fill out and submit the submission form including some words about your piece (300 words max).

Requisites:

  • Artwork or animation must follow the prompt provided. All other unrelated artworks will not qualify for judging.
  • All submitted artworks must be originals created by the artist themselves, with no copyrighted characters, logos, or text included.
  • Artworks created by artificial intelligence do not qualify in this competition. Artworks submitted into the contest must be created by a human.
  • Artworks must be appropriate, to not include profanity, obscenity, hateful rhetoric, or violence. Inappropriate artworks will be disqualified.
  • Artists who submit their artwork give the City of El Paso’s Mexican American Cultural Center consent in using their artwork online and on the digital screen with credit served. The MACC will use the winning artist’s work for promotional purposes, and the image will not be altered by the MACC. Artists keeps copyright of their artwork.
