The mission of the El Paso Mexican American Cultural Center is to celebrate the dynamic traditions and resiliency of our border cultures through vibrant arts experiences and creative engagement.

One of the main ways we execute our mission is through our programming, but we can’t do it without the help of teaching artists! We’re looking for artists to lead classes and workshops for various disciplines, including but not limited to:

• Wellness
• Culinary Arts
• Visual Arts
• Performing Arts
• Tech & Media Arts
• Other story telling formats

Eligibility Guidelines

• Artists or Instructors must have proficiency in their craft or experience leading workshops in their field.
• Must have weekend and evening availability.
• Artists or Instructors must be or become vendors with the City of El Paso.
• Artists must verify that they are not excluded or disqualified from doing business with the federal or local government due to delinquent fines, taxes, or other reasons.
• This is a paid position under contract with the City of El Paso and the Mexican American Cultural Center. Contractors are not employees with the City of El Paso.

Deadline to submit interest form:
May 15, 2026

Selection Notification will be sent by:
May 29, 2026

Contract period to start:
After September 1, 2026, through August 31, 2027
